1.Abies Pindrow- West Himalyan Fir also known as Silver Fir.
A lofty evergreen tree with a dense conical columnar crown of dense green foliage.
Seeds 8-13 mm brown shining, wing longer than the seeds.

2. Abroma augusta-
An native Indian tree commonly known as Ulat Kambal, which translated into English means the inner side of a blanket.This is possibly because the bark of the tree gives a beautiful silky fibre, like that of hemp.

3.Abrus precatorius-Coral Bead Vine.
Tropical vine to 12' with dainty pinnate leaves which are light sensitive; produces showy purple flowers followed by the 1" seed pods containing the shiny red & black seeds which are used as beads. Seeds very poisonous if eaten.

Acacias

Easily grown trees that are mostly indigenous to Australia/India where they are commonly called Wattles. Most of the varieties have very hard seeds that are best germinated by placing them into a cup of boiling water and allowing to soak for a 3 day period before planting.


4.Acacia arabica :A common Indian tree known as Babool.
A moderate sized tree with short thick cylindrical trunk.
Its tender branches are cut and used by many people for cleaning mouth and teeth and possess antiseptic properties.Seeds dark brown and shining.

5.Acacia auriculaformis :Australian wattle
Flowers are 8 cm long and in pairs , cream yellow and sweet scented.Folaige is dense.
6. Acacia catechu: The cutch tree.
Its wood extract yields the Katha of commerce employed as medicine and used as an article of taste for certain people.
7. Acacia concinna :A large climbing shrub with white flowers which have a reddish median line.

Acacia mangium is a single-stemmed evergreen tree or shrub that grows to 25-35 m in height. Inflorescence is composed of many tiny white or cream flowers in spikes.
